Dura-vac vacuum splints are used to fix and immobilise patients suspected of having fractures and hurt or broken extremities. Potential applications are limited to preclinical assistance and the inital phase of clinical support. Simple, rapid application moulds precisely to body contours. 
 
Effective patient immobilisation without placing undue pressure on the injury eliminates axial, lateral and rotational movement during patient transport. 
 
Product is both MRI, CT and X-ray compatible and simple to clean and disinfect.
